History and Time Line
2000
This event began in Houston as the International Puppy Contest (IPC) by founder, patrick chees, aka nipper. It was patrick's vision that there would be an event that would help get people together that were into the pup head space. patrick knew that he would need a lot of help to pull off what he wanted. He founded the Lone Star boys of Leather ( LSboL) which also gave him an outlet for his boy side and was able to excite the group about the idea of helping put on the contest. |

2002 In 2002, the contest was put on, again with the eager assistance of the LSboL in Houston. The contest went on and was even better than the first one! It was an exciting weekend long event. There was even a small mosh pit that a few of us were able to take part in. Pup Tim walked away with the title of International Puppy 2002. Not only did he turn heads because of his sexy look, but he made an outstanding pup. His studly trainer, Master Skip, and he had their routine down. Every move by both was well executed. As such, by the time it came to announce the winner, patrick already knew that the course of this contest had changed. I helped him come up with a Trainer award in very little time. When it came time to announce the winner, patrick officially stated that the contest from this point on, would be the International Puppy & Trainer Contest. Master Skip's handling of his pup showed that trainers should be recognized as well. |
2003 In 2003, it was time for IPTC to branch out and to try and build up. IPTC moved to Dallas and by this time, patrick had many followers to help him achieve another successful event. Sean-Michael took International Trainer '03 and patch took the title of International Pup '03 in a tough competition between 3 sets of pups and trainers. |

2004 Because of health issues patrick sought more assistance for IPTC 04 from his good friend, pup boner who has helped him from the beginning as well as from others. Int'l Trainer '04 became Mistress Simone and Int'l Puppy '04 was pup fifi. By the end of the year, patrick had passed away leaving the fate of IPTC unknown. |

2005 Master Roy, patrick's Sir, and the Texas Leather Tribe (TLT) family have continued patrick's dream as owners of IPTC. Pup boner of Galveston produced IPTC 05. Master Gary made Int'l Trainer '05 and pup kelly was named Int'l Puppy '05. |
2006 The TLT family has sought to continue patrick's legacy by evolving the IPTC from a contest into a conference and gained support from the Beyond Vanilla committee to bring back IPTC for 2006. |
Now, being held in conjunction with Beyond Vanilla, IPTC has a place to help others with education, connections and enjoyment of the pup experience. It has a place to become what the community wants it to be. It can continue to serve the community as well as evolve to the communities needs. Alpha Pup Justin produced the first International Puppy & Trainer Conference in 2006 |

Pup Out! is proud to announce the winner of the Pup Pride Flag.
|
April 1, 2008 With over 300 members on it's Yahoo! group, Pup Out! held a contest for a Pup Pride Flag design that could be accepted by the community. A stipulation of the contest was that the image was to be GIVEN to the community, free from copyright for the winning entry. The idea is that businesses can reproduce the image for profit to further the pup/trainer movement. At the time of the contest, most known symbols held copyrights. All were welcomed to submit designs and entries were posted to the pupout.com website. Voting took place through a poll on the Yahoo! group. Out of nine entries, the winning design was submitted by Nipper. In a conversation with Nipper he disclosed it's origin. "The design was made for me by Reddywhp when i was his pup, he gave it to me as a gift. It was very touching and sweet.Iit was just a logical subgroup" Since the pup and trainer fetish is a sub-group of the leather community, the design was based off of the leather pride flag, replacing the red heart with a red paw print. This design is a great tribute to Tony DeBlase as well. We would like to present this flag to the leather community in the hopes of acceptance as a universal symbol for the pup movement.
